we see them as we are.”

A Turn in the Road

I developed this illusion during my graduate studies with my advisor, Dr. James Pomerantz. It won 3rd prize in the Neural Correlate Society's 10th Annual Best Illusion of the Year Contest.

How does it work?

If you want to know more about the illusion, here's a short explanation narrated by yours truly. I also demonstrate the same illusion with different items.

Inspiration.

“A Turn in the Road” was inspired by one of many illusions created by master illusionist and professor Dr. Akiyoshi Kitaoka. The illusion is called “The Leaning Tower Illusion: 3D”.
